Good stuff in 3.0

Not stopping at 3.0

3.0 introduces big changes, but like any ".0" software product its going to need tweaking and polishing. We're counting on a lot of feedback. There are a million little tweaks that still need to be made, as well as great new features to add.

Its no longer free :-(

Regretfully, we've found that a "freemium" business model just doesn't work for Sneakemail. Free accounts we're just too functional.

We've run the free service, with $57.46 total in advertising revenues, for almost 10 years now, so no complaining!

All existing free accounts are switched over to a thirty day free trial.

A monthly subscription option is being added (through Paypal). So there is very, very little commitment.

You can import one account into another using the import account feature found on the account page (after you log in).

Changes you need to know about

In order to make Sneakemail a better and easier to use application we made some significant changes and some of these changes might cause some annoyance and we apologize for that. Please keep reading to find out.

Since Rules are gone, filters work differently now. We took great care to import the old filters into the new filters. If you use filters extensively you might want to take a look at how well the import worked.

Outgoing Automatic Sneakemail addresses are gone. Almost nobody used them, or could remember how they worked. The new Reverse Sneakemail addresses are so easy to use it really doesn't matter much. (if you don't know what I'm talking about, don't worry, you probably never used them)

Auto address no longer use "ugly" addresses. If mail is sent to myname-mykey@sneakemail.com, it will create a new sneakemail address named "myname-mykey" with the address "myname-mykey@snkmail.com". Unfortunately this will invalidate the old style addresses, forcing new ones to be created, and some deleted auto addresses will magically come back to life, but otherwise there will be no impact or interruption. All auto addresses have been activated so they create new sneakemail addresses.
